Soul Asylum

A Minneapolis-ban alakult Hard Rock/Garázs együttes központi figrája Dave Pirner (1964, ének, gitár), további tagjai pedig Dan Murphy (1962, gitár) és Pat Morley. Morley 1984-ben otthagyta őket, helyére Grant Young  (1964) a Made To Be Broken c. albumukon. A Hang Time-on már egy egészen más produkciós csapat dolgozott mögöttük. A The Horse They Rode In On kitűnő album, melyről a Somebody to shove-t rengeteget játtszotta az MTV. A csapat 1998-ban turnéra indult, majd eltűnt a reflektorfényből.
